May 7th: The EEE is back in stock and ready to ship on 24 hour delivery! Phone to be 100% sure we still have stock.
May 7th: We have some 32M Megadrive/Genesis kits back in stock for £19.99.
April 17th: We have finally found this:
 (click for bigger)
Yes, that's a generic games system with the very powerful blackfin CPU in it, best known for it's excellent SNES emu. This system is also rather better laid out than the older JXD as it has 4 face buttons + start and select.
It's got 2Gig internal memory, SD slot and an internal li-ion battery. Plays all the usual movie & music formats, Comes with charger, 2 sets of headphones, UK adaptor, charger, TV out cable & CD. You can order it here.
April 4th: We have been pretty busy the last week working on the Pandora project, but in other news we think we have sourced a new version of the JXD handheld which actually has nicer controls, we should have sample stock on monday, we have also sourced some other new gadgets which we will review in the coming week.
A quick roundup on the GP2X news is that there is a new version of the excellent GPSP Gameboy Advance emulator which has some very nice option and GUI tweaks check it here.
Also Picodrive has been updated to support *Virtua Racing* (Yes the 90's 3D racer running full speed) and also Mega-CD video based games now run perfectly (no need to buffer the video anymore), see here.
There is still no end in sight for the EEE availability issues, broken promises, deliveries not arriving and so on. We have been contacted by companies making similar devices and we may stock these in the coming months.
Mar 17th: I finally got my review of the Playpal portable Sega Master System and Megadrive online. Sorry that took so long, they have had a suprising amount of use since christmas.
We have posted PCB photos of the Pandora on the new blog. It's coming along rather nicely. Think EEE but less than half the size but all the power.
Mar 12th: You may have noticed ASUS have shown off a new version of the EEE with a bigger screen (and bigger price) which we would love to stock sometime this year, but it would be nice if they could get the supply of the original EEE to a level even approaching normal.
Mar 12th: I'm back from Dallas and London, we will have a lot to post about the Pandora project in the coming days, but first a scene roundup:
New MAME 0.37b5 for the GP2X and it has support for 2240 romsets, it's even faster than the previous version and is much more up to date.

New version of Sqdef 1.3 which is a tower defense game. This is a pretty awesome bit of freeware with a good following. Microsite.
Gp2xpectrum 1.7.1, fixing a final few bugs in this pretty perfect Spectrum emulator.
Unofficial Pocketsnes 6.4.3 with various new hacks, it's a beta but this is looking to be an interesting offshoot from the official version, the last update supports the custom chip games such as Mario RPG, I'm hoping the new version will support the speed hacks from the GBA SNES emu on all supported games, could mean some very nice low CPU speed emulation leading to nice battery life for SNES fans.
Feb 18th: We will be in Dallas, Texas, USA, at the TIDC with (we hope/maybe) the first prototype of the Pandora Handheld on the 26th Feb.
Feb 18th: We have been told we are finally going to be getting a reliable source of EEE PCs from next week, enough to cover the preorders and have some shipping on 24 hour delivery, although you should probably order soon to be on the safe side as last time we said this our order numbers went up by around 300% in one day.
Feb 18th: The GP2X will be back in stock at the start of next week - order now to get one from that batch as they are selling out very fast at the moment, looks like the F200 solved a lot of the problems and people who were waiting to get a GP2X are finally buying.
Feb 5th: Some very cool activity on the GP2X scene, Notaz has managed to emulate the Sega SVP chip meaning that for the first time on any Megadrive emulator (including PC ones) Virtua Racing is now running. And on the same day Exophase released a coded from scratch GP2X PC-Engine emulator which is running as close to perfect as we have ever seen.

Feb 5th: Much to our amusement Gizmondo have claimed they are coming back. No question folks, invest all your life savings immediately, just like you would with a Nigerian prince who has fallen on hard times. We won't be taking preorders...
Feb 5th: The GP2X is in stock and on 24hour shipping.
Feb 5th: We received stock of the EEE, not quite enough to cover preorders however more are arriving tomorrow which we hope will cover the remaining outstanding orders.
Jan 28th: Wow, the EEE is quite possibly the most difficult to source product we have ever stocked. They keep promising to deliver them but I think ASUS can't even come close to meeting demand at the moment. We are keeping preorder customers updated by email. In slightly better news we are expecting stock of the GP2X any day now.
Jan 16th: Our EEE order has not yet arrived (don't worry we are chasing it up), will post more info as soon as we hear anything.
Jan 10th: OK,EEEs sold out, more coming on Tuesday, order now to get one from that batch. GP2X out of stock until the end of the month, very few retro flash kits left, no JXD consoles (waiting to see if they are going to make a new one). Looks like a Zimbabwe supermarket in here.
Jan 5th: Oh yes the JXD preorders all shipped earlier in the week and we have them in stock now, however JXD informed us they have stopped making this console with immediate effect due to cost issues of the SOC which it uses. Arses.
Jan 3rd: The EEE PC is BACK IN STOCK. Limited numbers as usual. Quick Quick, like a fox. Oh and Happy New Year!
Dec 24th: Merry Christmas everyone, we shipped everything we could, we are aware the Royal Mail may have made an arse of some 24 hour shipments and we shall be claiming back every last penny for every mistake they made, but almost everything arrived in time.
ASUS didn't ship the rest of our EEE PCs and probably won't until next week at the earliest, but as soon as they arrive they will ship out for all you people who pre-ordered, same goes for the GP2X.
Speaking of the GP2X HeadoverHeels released a very nice update of FinalBurnAdvance (CPS2 etc. arcade emu) here.
Now I'm going to sleep, sorry we didn't decorate the site this year, we were slightly busy with shipping orders, have fun, enjoy christmas, your presents, food, alcohol and everything else.
-Craig
Dec 18th: We recieved our ASUS EEE order on tuesday but as we suspected they did not ship all of it, however we have managed to get though almost all orders, and we have more EEEs arriving tomorrow. We are also shipping all GP2X orders today and tomorrow.
Dec 14th: OK I'm going to say the EEE is sold out, for now. Due to the volume of orders we don't want to risk letting people down. I will update the page on monday if we think we can take more orders. Stay Tuned.
Dec 13th: Something cool for the retro handheld lovers, we have the new portable Megadrive and portable Sega master system (Replacing I suppose the Nomad and GameGear) in the retro section.

They come with 20 games each, fully licenced, you can also hook them up to the TV. Great value too, nice Christmas gift, numbers limited though. Run on AAA batteries. Review soon.
Dec 12th: We have added some boxed and never used GP32 BLU consoles to the retro section. We are throwing in free SMC cards with them too, various sizes. Even some old commercial games if you get lucky.
Dec 12th: I'm working on the affiliate system now and hope to have it up for tomorrow, GP2X.co.uk accounts will work with the GBAX system so you won't have to re-register.
Dec 12th: OK, you have over done it, please be aware EEE PC shipments may be slower than usual for the rest of the week, we cannot package and ship them fast enough. We have another large shipment of them arriving on monday and we will work as fast as we can to ship them out. That shipment will be the last before Christmas.
I think all todays (to around 1pm) and yesterdays orders have been shipped. Please get your orders in as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed. I will personally beat the staff in to working right up to christmas eve. Tough love, it's all they understand.
Dec 12th: Guess what? I've reveiwed the EEE PC, and I'm writing this update from it! Also yes we REALLY REALLY have them in stock as of the 12th Dec. Yes they are UK spec. UK keyboard, manual, power supply.
Dec 10th: Wow. You remember us then? The site is slow due to the volume of traffic - oh yes we REALLY DO have the EEE PC in stock - although for how much longer remains to be seen as they are selling at around 1 every few minutes. Awesome.
Dec 9th: Retro Flash kit section is up! Look at those prices, only while stocks last, we won't be getting anymore of these.
Dec 9th: EEE PC in Stock, only £229.99 INC VAT. Nice Christmas present for... everyone. It's the size of a bag of crisps or something. Maybe a jumbo bag. You need one though.
Dec 8th: The JXD Console, the mysterious but very interesting emulation / movie player console is here. I'll do a review ASAP.
Ha! Your Christmas present has arrived early! It's us! We're back! And we're still not funny!
Now, you remember how awesome we used to be? Yeah. You know it's true. Where you been going while we
were away? To some other site? Yeah. Well we're back now, so come on over like its 2005.
To top all that off while I'm writing this it's snowing outside. I promise that if you buy all your
christmas stuff from us we will make it a white christmas for 2008. Ha! That's next year. You will
forget that promise like some drug addicted girlfriend.
OK so yes, here we are, returned after 2 years of GP2X only semi-serious hell. I had to have the
sillyness back in my life, and the Christmas GBAX logo (he now has a name too, but we call him Mo for short).
Right, thats the excuses out the way, what the hell are we doing here again? Well children gather
round and I shall explain...
GP2X, JXD, EEE, Retro and soon other machines too. All open source. All here. Free software! Take that Thatcher!
So that's the new spin, we are really going to be the centre of all things open, like the hippies we
always knew we were if it were not for capitalism and petrol prices.
So take a look around THEN ORDER SOMETHING THIS ISN'T A LIBRARY.
Oh and the news service will be back! Get all the news you didn't hear right here. Remember who broke
the DS cracked news? The first PSP crack news? The GP32 launch? No? Neither do we. But we sure did
copy it out to this page. And you loved it. And that's why you're back.
And we still have Debs and Jacquelyn on the phones ready to talk to you for too long and hold up
the orders and all sorts. They missed you. I missed you.
Welcome back.
Now tell everyone you don't know that we are back!
-Craig
